About The Jerome Foundation
St. Jerome Hospital Foundation was incorporated in 1981 to provide financial support for St. Jerome Hospital. Upon the merger of St. Jerome Hospital into Genesee Memorial Hospital, the name of the corporation was changed to The Jerome Foundation in 2004. The Jerome Foundation receives, manages, and distributes funds for the benefit of not-for-profit organizations for health-related purposes.
Past recipients of The Jerome Foundation grants include: UMMC Hospital Foundation, the Sisters of Mercy, Crossroads House, St. Joseph Elementary School, Notre Dame High School, and GLOW YMCA.
Annually, The Jerome Foundation sponsors the Health and Humanitarian Award to recognize volunteer men and women of Genesee County who have helped promote the emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of the area’s residents.
In addition, The Jerome Foundation supports the William F. Brown, Jr. scholarship. The scholarship is given annually to a high school graduate from Genesee County who is pursuing a career at a four year college in the field of journalism, communications, marketing, or public relations.
